Cove House

Some homes do not need a bigger footprint. They need a smarter plan and a personalized touch.

The kitchen grew in function, not in square footage

Instead of expanding walls, we refined how every inch worked. A wall of tailored storage replaced the need for a separate pantry, keeping the space open while dramatically increasing capacity. The result is a kitchen designed for real cooking, gathering, and everyday life, without compromising light or connection to the rest of the home.

03 - The Living Room

The living room was totally transformed by giving it an architectural focal point. A linear fireplace, clean panel detailing, and a balance of open and closed built-ins gave the space grounding, storage, and presence, turning an awkward layout into a cohesive, intentional living area.

04- The Walk In Closet

A walk-in closet and a proper four-piece bath completely change how a primary bedroom functions. Storage becomes streamlined and contained, mornings run more smoothly, and the bathroom shifts from purely utilitarian to a place of comfort and ease. These two elements are what elevate a bedroom into a suite, turning everyday routines into a more spacious, functional, and enjoyable experience.

The upstairs already included an ensuite, but the overall layout did not provide the sense of a true primary suite. By reworking the son’s bedroom, the guest room, and the existing bathroom areas, the plan was reorganized to carve out a more defined primary zone. This allowed space for a full four-piece ensuite and the addition of a dedicated walk-in closet, creating a layout that feels intentional rather than pieced together.

The room shifted in purpose, not in footprint

The former primary suite became the son’s zone, refreshed with a clean, cohesive finish palette. By leaning into colour drenching and simplified details, the space feels elevated and intentional, proving that thoughtful finishes and tone can completely transform how a room feels without changing its size.

Cove House is a reminder that the most meaningful transformations come from rethinking how a home lives, not just how it looks. By refining the layout, adding architectural presence, and layering in purposeful storage and cohesive finishes, this 1980s home was reshaped to support the rhythms of a young family today. The result is a home that feels more functional, looks incredible, and truly supportive of the way this family lives each day, all while keeping the lot, neighbourhood, and character that made it worth investing in to begin with.
